South Manatee Library program: "The Basics of Alzheimer's Disease"

The South Manatee Branch Library is pleased to welcome Sue Fox to the library on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 starting at 1:00 p.m.
A representative of the Sarasota Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, Fox will present a two-hour program entitled "The Basics of Alzheimer's Disease." Attendees will learn about normal age-related memory loss, reversible causes of dementia, irreversible dementias, the warning signs of Alzheimer’s – and what to do if they appear. She will also discuss the latest discoveries in the quest for a cure.
Affecting over five million Americans and their loved ones, Alzheimer’s Disease is the seventh leading cause of death in this country. The economic toll is also staggering, estimated at some $170 billion annually.
Seating for this free program will be available on a first come, first serve basis. No registration is necessary.
