The Manatee County Agricultural Museum has a tomato collection on exhibit. If you are a tomato fan, you can see almost 200 items of all things tomato including local tomato packing house labels, glassware, linens, novelty items, even a telephone! The collection, originally donated by Jan Hunsader, has been added to over the years.
Located at 1015 6th St. West, Palmetto, the museum is open Tuesday through Friday and the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month from 10:00 am to noon and 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. For more information call 721-2034.
