The Manatee County Public Library System is pleased to welcome the public to voice their ideas, questions, and concerns at a Town Hall Meeting on Monday, May 21, 2012. The meeting will be held in the Central Library’s first floor Auditorium starting at 6:30 p.m.
The library’s Long Range Planning Committee will utilize the findings from the Town Hall Meeting to help prepare the library’s 2013 Annual Plan of Service. This is part of the library’s overall Five Year Plan for which data has already been gathered from extensive public surveys and several previous “focus group” meetings.
At the Town Hall Meeting, the Long Range Planning Committee will give a presentation describing recent accomplishments made possible as a result of the research that was gathered for the Five Year Plan. They will also discuss the challenges in meeting the needs of an ever-changing community during economically difficult times.
The input from citizens is welcome and encouraged. The Town Hall Meeting is open to everyone, with seating available on a first come, first serve basis.
The Central Library is located at 1301 Barcarrota Boulevard West in downtown Bradenton, Florida. For further information, visit the library or call 941-748-5555 x6301.
