With the recent easing of travel restrictions, many speculate that there is a sea change afoot in U.S.-Cuban relations including the possibility of overturning the trade embargo in place since 1963. Recent polls have shown that a majority of Americans were in favor of re-establishing diplomatic relations with Cuba, ending the travel ban that prevents most Americans from visiting Cuba, and lifting the trade embargo. Join us at our annual luncheon meeting Tuesday, May 15, 2012, 11:30 am, Marina Jack's, Sarasota Bay Front, where we will hear from an expert on the economic impact the Cuban embargo, Dr. Tim Lynch, former Director of the Center for Economic Analysis of Florida State University who will discuss his study on "The Economic Impact on the U.S. Economy of Lifting the Cuban Embargo".
