GO LEGS INDOOR CYCLE STUDIO to team up with the Junior League of Manatee County and host the:
FIRST ANNUAL CYCLE-THON
The benefit goes to: Manatee Glens K.I.T.E. Program
Karen Moyer, wife of MLB Pitcher Jamie Moyer, owns and operates the studio.
The event will offer riders the experience to ride for one hour or even up to six hours. It will feature a different instructor every hour as well as
offering raffle prizes such as Go Legs T-Shirts and free classes for participants. The day will begin with a ribbon cutting ceremony from the
Bradenton Chamber of Commerce at the studio right before the first spin starts at 11:00 a.m.
“We are thrilled to be holding this first annual event at Go Legs, and look forward to having the local communities participate,” said Karen Moyer,
owner and lead instructor of Go Legs Indoor Cycle Studio. “The event will be a great way to kick off our opening and for participants to have a
great day of exercise and to help children in distress.”
Go Legs is teaming up with the Junior League of Manatee County to benefit the Manatee Glens Kids Intervention, Treatment and Empowerment
(K.I.T.E) program. It provides counseling services to children who have been victims of sexual abuse.
The Junior League of Manatee County is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential women improving the community through effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Through the power of our association, Junior League of Manatee County strenthens.
" As a Parent, it breaks my heart to tell other parents of children who have been sexually abused that they will have to wait for treatment,” said Catherine Wilson, Assistant Director of Children's Outpatient Services for Manatee Glens. “Having funding to meet the immediate needs of these traumatized children is a must for the children in our community. I am excited to partner with the Junior League of Manatee County and Go Legs, Inc. so that services can be increased for our children. Just as Go Legs Cycling Studio is taking care of our community's health through physical fitness, Manatee Glens Rape Crisis is focused on taking care of the emotional health of child victims of sexual abuse."
If interested in participating, bikes cost $100.00 per bike, per hour. Each rider will receive an event t-shirt. Pledge and registration forms are available at the studio and online at www.GoLegs.net. Sponsorship packages are also available.
