David Glenn Troutman, 81, of Bradenton, Florida, passed away on April 16, 2024. He was born on November 1, 1942. David was a vice president at Troutman Industries Inc., in West Lawn, Pennsylvania, where he worked alongside his brother Gerald E. Troutman for over 42 years. The company made precision machined metal and plastic components for a variety of industries and original equipment manufacturers. He was a pioneer in the programming of computer numerically controlled CNC machining equipment, adopting this automated technology in the mid 1970's, and played a significant role in utilizing computers in business operations, including installing one of the first IBM System 36 computer systems.

David will be remembered for his dedication to his career and his innovative contributions to the precision machining industry. He was a graduate of Reading High School, Reading, Pennsylvania, and Wyomissing Polytechnic Institute, Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. David was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching Gunsmoke TV shows and western movies. He also had a passion for airplanes, history, and was a member of the United Church of Christ.

David is survived by his nieces: Bonita L. Richter, Palatine, Illinois, Theresa L. Strause, Leesport, Pennsylvania, and Patricia A. Squier, Bradenton, Florida. He was preceded in death by his fiancée, Gladys Dorfman, his mother, Helen G. (Beckey) Troutman, his father, Lester H. Troutman, his brother, Gerald E. Troutman, and his nephew, Eric M. Troutman.

A private family graveside service will be held at Hillcrest Park Cemetery in Springfield, Massachusetts, to honor and celebrate David's life and legacy.
